Ankara: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and visiting Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al Shaibani discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations on Wednesday: The two sides affirmed that bilateral ties are entering a new phase, marked by frank and open discussions, which will contribute to elevating them to a strategic level that serves the interests of both peoples.

According to Qatar News Agency, Lavrov and Al Shaibani emphasized their rejection of the repeated Israeli violations of Syrian territory, stressing the need to respect international law and UN resolutions.
