Russian Defense Ministry Reports Targeted Strike on Ukrainian Cargo Ship and Drone Operations

Odessa:Moscow The Russian Defense Ministry has declared a targeted strike on a cargo ship delivering supplies for Ukrainian forces. The ministry stated that its forces successfully targeted a dry cargo ship transporting supplies to the Ukrainian Armed Forces at the port of Odessa. Additionally, Russian armed forces are continuing drone strikes on Ukrainian port infrastructure and vessels aiding the Ukrainian military efforts.

According to Qatar News Agency, the announcement included a report from Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, who confirmed the downing of more than 231 out of 613 Ukrainian drones overnight. These developments are part of ongoing reciprocal attacks between Russia and Ukraine, focusing on energy facilities, infrastructure, military sites, and ports.

The conflict between Russia and Ukraine has been ongoing since February 2022, with no significant progress in diplomatic efforts to reach a peaceful resolution. The recent military actions further underline the persistent hostilities between the two nations.
