Doha: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced Saturday that the Ukrainian military lost 1,290 soldiers over the past 24 hours as a result of ongoing military operations across various combat fronts.

According to Qatar News Agency, in its daily report on the situation in Ukraine, the Russian Defense Ministry stated that its forces continued to destroy military airfields, naval facilities, drone storage centers, and ammunition and logistics depots belonging to Ukrainian forces.

The report further noted that Russian air defenses successfully downed six guided aerial bombs of the "JADM" type, as well as five "HIMARS" rockets and 154 Ukrainian drones.

Russia and Ukraine have been regularly reporting the downing of drones targeting each other's territories amid the ongoing conflict that began in February 2022.
