Doha: Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Thursday that its forces gained control of a new town in eastern Ukraine.

According to Qatar News Agency, as part of the special military operation in Ukraine, the Russian "North" group forces managed to seize the city of "Gorlovka" in Sumy region.

The statement also mentioned that Russian forces targeted Ukrainian personnel and equipment in several areas of the same region.

Both Russia and Ukraine continue to assert control over various battlefield fronts in the ongoing conflict since February 24, 2022, with neither side able to decisively win the war.
