Russian Defense Forces Take Control of Two Villages in Donetsk, Over 1,000 Ukrainian Soldiers Killed

Doha: The Russian Defense Ministry announced that its forces had taken control of the villages of Skudnoye and Burlatskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), indicating that 1,015 Ukrainian soldiers had been killed in the past 24 hours.

According to Qatar News Agency, the ministry’s daily statement on the latest developments in military operations in Ukraine said that northern forces have reinforced their positions in the Kharkiv region in northeastern Ukraine, while western Russian forces have reinforced their positions in Donetsk and Kharkiv. Eastern forces have also managed to take control of the two villages in Donetsk.

Russian forces were able to shoot down 190 drones and six aerial bombs, in addition to destroying three tanks, 29 vehicles, 11 armored vehicles, 10 cannons, four electronic warfare stations, and six ammunition depots.

Reports issued by Russia and Ukraine are often contradictory, in light of the ongoing military operations since February 2022, without the possibility of verifying them from independent sources.
