Umm salal: The Russian Cultural Week, organized by the Ministry of Culture at Darb Al Saai in Umm Salal, concluded Friday amidst a large public turnout and significant engagement from those interested in cultural affairs.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Russian Cultural Week was organized within the framework of the State of Qatar's vision to promote intercultural dialogue, expand cultural exchange with various countries around the world, establish culture as a platform for human interaction and building bridges of communication between peoples, utilize culture as a tool for public diplomacy, and enhance Qatar's position as a hub for international cultural events.
Director of the International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Culture, Nasser Al Malki, commented affirming that the Russian Cultural Week achieved its objectives in strengthening cultural ties between Qatar and Russia. He noted that it provided the public with an opportunity to learn more about the diverse and rich Russian artistic and cultural heritage, reflecting the depth of history and culture in both countries.
Al Maliki explained that this event comes as part of the "Cultural Weeks" series organized by the Ministry since 2024, which has hosted a number of sister and friendly countries, confirming Qatar's commitment to supporting the international cultural movement and enhancing its presence as an active center for dialogue and cultural exchange.
