Moscow: Russia and Ukraine traded declarations of shooting down drones amid the ongoing conflict between them since February 2022. The Ukrainian authorities announced that their air defense force shot down 48 Russian drones in the northern and eastern parts of the country.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 95 Ukrainian drones over the territories of Bryansk Oblast, Tver Oblast, Kaluga Oblast, Oryol Oblast, Tambov Oblast, Novgorod Oblast, Belgorod Oblast, Rostov Oblast, Kursk Oblast, Smolensk Oblast, Samara Oblast, Leningrad Oblast, the Republic of Crimea, and the Republic of Tatarstan.
Since the start of the war, which has entered its third year, both nations have been trading reports about repelling attacks from one another, without these claims being independently verified, given the circumstances of war and the battles ongoing since Feb. 24, 2022.
