Doha: The Russian Ministry of Defense on Tuesday announced that, over the past 24 hours, its forces had seized control of a new town in eastern Ukraine, eliminated 1,035 troops, and shot down 74 drones and eight guided aerial bombs.
According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement, the ministry indicated that, thanks to the decisive operations conducted by units of the Russian Central Group of Forces, Russian troops had taken control of the settlement of Mirolyubovka in Donetsk Oblast.
The Russian Armed Forces targeted formations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in several areas across the Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Sumy regions, resulting in the destruction of multiple tanks, armored combat vehicles, armed personnel carriers, field artillery units, ammunition depots, and electronic warfare stations, the statement continued.
Battlefield claims released by both countries remain conflicting, with no possibility of independent verification due to the ongoing war that has raged since Feb. 24, 2022.
