Moscow: Russia's Defense Ministry announced it had successfully intercepted and destroyed 30 Ukrainian drones over multiple regions, a move demonstrating ongoing aerial engagements between the two nations.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Russian Defense Ministry stated that its air defense systems targeted and neutralized the drones over the Belgorod and Kursk regions, as well as over Crimea and the Black Sea. This incident highlights the continued strategic military operations in these critical areas.
The ministry also reported a significant defensive effort, claiming that 114 Ukrainian drones had been shot down across various Russian regions in the previous 24 hours. Since the onset of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, both sides have frequently released updates regarding battlefield activities. However, these reports often lack independent verification due to the challenging conditions of the ongoing conflict, making it difficult to confirm the full extent of losses and damage on the ground.
