Ankara: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced Wednesday that its air defense systems shot down 172 Ukrainian drones over several regions last night: The Russian Ministry of Defense revealed that air defense systems successfully intercepted a significant number of Ukrainian drones over various regions.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry detailed that air defense systems destroyed 110 drones over Bryansk, 20 over Belgorod, 14 over Kaluga, 12 over Tula, 6 over Oryol, 4 over Moscow, 3 over Lipetsk, and one each over Volgograd, Kursk, and Smolensk regions.

Since the beginning of the war, Russia and Ukraine have been exchanging almost daily reports claiming to have intercepted attacks from the other side, without these reports being independently verified due to the ongoing conflict since February 24, 2022.
