Russia Destroys 12 Ukrainian Drones Overnight in Continued Defense Efforts

Moscow: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced Wednesday that its air defense systems destroyed 12 Ukrainian drones overnight. A statement from the Russian Defense Ministry detailed that nine drones were intercepted over the Black Sea and three were taken down over the Belgorod region.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been consistently targeting Russian border areas in Crimea and the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, and Voronezh regions with drones and missiles. This activity has become a near-daily occurrence as both countries remain locked in ongoing hostilities since the war began on February 24, 2022.

Throughout the conflict, Russia and Ukraine have continuously reported on repelling attacks from each other. However, these reports have not been independently verified due to the ongoing nature of the fighting.
