Moscow: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its air defense systems successfully intercepted 130 Ukrainian drones over various Russian regions overnight, including an incident involving one drone over Moscow.
According to Qatar News Agency, a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense detailed the operations, noting that 32 drones were intercepted in the Kursk and Belgorod regions, 20 in the Voronezh region, and 17 over the Black Sea. Additional interceptions included seven drones in Crimea, six in the Oryol region, five in the Krasnodar Territory, four in the Tambov region, three in the Rostov region, two in the Bryansk region, and one each in the Tula and Moscow regions.
The ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which began on February 24, 2022, has led to frequent reports from both sides, each claiming either advances or the repulsion of attacks. However, due to the current state of war, these reports remain unverified by independent sources.
