Russia Claims Over 2,100 Ukrainian Troops Killed or Injured

Moscow: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced Tuesday that its forces have killed or wounded more than 2,100 Ukrainian soldiers, and shot down 191 drones during ongoing military operations.

According to Qatar News Agency, the ministry stated that Russian troops had launched attacks on Ukrainian positions and improved their strategic foothold in several areas across the Donetsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, and Kherson regions. The operations reportedly resulted in the destruction of dozens of combat vehicles, cars, artillery units, ammunition depots, and electronic warfare stations.

Since the war began on Feb. 24, 2022, now entering its third year, Russia and Ukraine have issued near-daily reports claiming battlefield gains or repelling enemy advances. These claims remain unverified by independent sources due to the ongoing conflict and limited access to frontline areas.
