Moscow: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Monday that its air defense systems destroyed 72 Ukrainian drones over several Russian provinces.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry stated that 36 drones were destroyed over Kursk Oblast, 13 over Astrakhan Oblast, seven over Oryol Oblast, four over Volgograd Oblast, and three over each of Bryansk Oblast, Rostov Oblast, and the Republic of Kalmykia. Additionally, two drones were downed over Krasnodar Krai, and one over Tula Oblast.

Russia and Ukraine continue to exchange daily announcements regarding the downing of drones targeting each other's territories. This is part of the ongoing conflict that has persisted since February 2022.
