Russia Claims Control of Aleksandrograd in Eastern Ukraine

Moscow: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today that its forces have taken over a new town in eastern Ukraine.

According to Qatar News Agency, the ministry stated that units from the East group executed active and decisive operations to gain control of the town of Aleksandrograd in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine.

Since the war began, now in its fourth year, both Russia and Ukraine have been issuing almost daily reports of repelling each other's attacks. However, independent verification of these claims remains challenging due to the ongoing conflict that started on February 24, 2022.
