Doha: Qatar University (QU) has announced its undergraduate admission decisions for the Spring 2026 semester, confirming the acceptance of all new Qatari students who met the minimum admission requirements across its colleges, subject to available capacity. Vice President for Student Affairs at Qatar University, Dr. Mohammed Diab, shared that approximately 700 male and female students have been admitted for the upcoming semester.
According to Qatar News Agency, the admissions included all Qatari applicants who fulfilled the minimum criteria for the various colleges. Dr. Diab emphasized the university's dedication to offering a supportive learning environment that encourages students' academic and personal growth, enhances their skills, and supports their future goals. He urged all applicants to check their admission decisions through their electronic admission accounts on the university's official website.
The Spring 2026 semester is set to begin on Sunday, January 18, 2026, for all students, with the add/drop period ending on Thursday, January 22, 2026. Dr. Diab explained that the online orientation program for newly admitted students will commence on Sunday, January 11, 2026, and will encompass all university colleges. Accepted students will receive further details and access links via their university email.
Dr. Diab highlighted that participation in the online orientation is mandatory for all admitted students. The program offers interactive visual and written materials on university life, academic regulations, and student services, and must be completed to finalize admission procedures and enable course registration for the Spring 2026 semester. Additionally, the program aims to acquaint new students with the university's electronic systems, including the student portal, university email, and academic advising services, to ensure smooth course selection and registration.
