Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index opened higher on Sunday, gaining 13.23 points, or 0.12%, to reach 11,240 points compared to the previous session's close.
According to Qatar News Agency, the upward momentum was driven by gains across most sectors, with the exception of the Consumer Goods and Services sector, which slipped 0.06%. Insurance led the advance with a rise of 0.67%, followed by Banks and Financial Services (+0.11%), Real Estate (+0.11%), Transportation (+0.10%), and Telecoms (+0.04%).
As of 10:00 am, the QSE recorded a trading volume of 18.283 million shares, with a total turnover of QR 45.479 million executed across 2,355 transactions.
