QSE Index Opens Lower as All Sectors Record Losses

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index opened lower on Tuesday, registering a decline of 36.81 points or 0.34%, bringing the index down to 10,699 points compared to the previous session's close.

According to Qatar News Agency, losses were observed across all sectors on the exchange. The Consumer Goods and Services sector led the decline with a reduction of 0.48%. This was followed by the Industrials sector, which fell by 0.36%, and the Telecoms sector, which saw a decrease of 0.30%. The Banks and Financial Services sector recorded a drop of 0.26%, while the Transportation sector fell by 0.14%. Both the Insurance and Real Estate sectors experienced declines of 0.13% and 0.12%, respectively.

By 10:00 am, the QSE reported a total turnover of QR 30.819 million. This included the trading of 10.855 million shares across 1,851 transactions.
