Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index experienced a decrease of 13.44 points, or 0.12%, at the start of trading on Sunday, dropping to 10,813 points from the last session's close. The decline was primarily influenced by losses in three major sectors.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Telecoms sector led the decline with a fall of 0.31%, followed by the Industrials sector which decreased by 0.24%, and the Banks and Financial Services sector which saw a reduction of 0.12%. However, some sectors recorded gains, including Real Estate with an increase of 0.37%, Transportation up by 0.04%, Consumer Goods and Services rising by 0.03%, and Insurance slightly up by 0.01%.
As of 10:00 am, the QSE reported a trading volume of 19.564 million shares, with a total turnover amounting to QR 42.829 million across 2,311 transactions.
