QSE Index Opens in Red Zone

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index opened the week on a negative note, declining by 23.10 points, or 0.21%, to reach 11,238 points at the start of trading on Sunday. The drop was driven by losses across most sectors.

According to Qatar News Agency, leading the decline was the Insurance sector, which fell by 0.82%, followed by Telecoms (-0.62%), Real Estate (-0.43%), Industrials (-0.27%), Banks and Financial Services (-0.15%), and Consumer Goods and Services (-0.06%). In contrast, gains were recorded in the Transportation sector, which rose by 0.61%.

As of 10:00 am, the QSE reported a trading volume of 25.906 million shares, with a total turnover of QR 50.727 million, executed through 2,043 transactions.
