QSE Index Opens Higher with Broad Sector Gains

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index opened on a positive note, increasing by 173.25 points, or 1.70%, to reach 10,361 points compared to the previous session's close. This uptrend was supported by gains across all sectors.

According to Qatar News Agency, market data revealed notable increases in several sectors. The Telecoms sector led the gains with a rise of 2.83%, followed by Industrials with a 2.20% increase. Real Estate also showed a robust performance, climbing by 1.93%. The Banks and Financial Services sector rose by 1.65%, while Consumer Goods and Services increased by 1.34%. The Transportation and Insurance sectors both recorded a 1.28% rise.

By 10:00 am, the trading turnover reached QAR 135.913 million, with a total of 60.009 million shares exchanged in 6,898 transactions, indicating a strong trading activity on the exchange.
