QSE Index Opens Higher as Industrials and Banks Gain

Doha: The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose by 6.36 points, or 0.06 percent, at the start of trading on Thursday, reaching 10,836 points.

According to Qatar News Agency, the QSE index was supported by gains in two sectors: Industrials, which increased by 0.36 percent, and Banks and Financial Services, which saw a rise of 0.15 percent. In contrast, declines were observed in several sectors: Real Estate decreased by 0.07 percent, Consumer Goods and Services by 0.11 percent, Transportation by 0.19 percent, Telecoms by 0.37 percent, and Insurance by 0.39 percent.

As of 10:00 am, the QSE recorded a trading volume of 26.869 million shares, with a total value of QAR 45.011 million across 2,392 transactions.
