Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange index broke through the 11,000-point barrier at the start of Tuesday's trading, gaining 39.68 points, or 0.36%, to reach 11,007, backed by five sectors.

According to Qatar News Agency, leading the increase was the Banks and Financial Services sector, which rose by 0.63%. The Consumer Goods and Services sector followed with a 0.44% increase, while Real Estate and Industrials both saw gains of 0.40% and 0.35%, respectively. The Transportation sector also experienced a rise, climbing by 0.33%.

However, not all sectors experienced gains. The Telecoms sector saw a decline of 0.41%, and the Insurance sector fell by 1.60%. By 10:00 am, trading turnover reached QR 85.250 million, with 41.828 million shares traded across 4,368 transactions.
