Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index opened higher on Monday, registering a gain of 39.89 points, or 0.39%, to reach 10,200 points. This increase was supported by advances across all sectors, marking a positive start compared to the previous session's close.
According to Qatar News Agency, market data indicated that the Industrials sector led the gains with an increase of 0.68%. This was followed closely by the Telecoms sector, which rose by 0.67%. The Real Estate sector also saw an improvement, climbing by 0.42%, while the Transportation sector increased by 0.26%. Other sectors that contributed to the upward movement included Banks and Financial Services with a 0.21% rise, Insurance with a 0.09% gain, and Consumer Goods and Services with a modest increase of 0.05%.
By 10:00 am, the trading turnover had reached QAR 48.300 million, with a total of 20.485 million shares being traded across 2,425 transactions. This early trading activity highlights the market's positive response and investor confidence in the sectors showing gains at the start of the week.
