QSE Index Drops 0.40% at Start of Trading

Doha: The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) dropped 43.39 points, or 0.40%, at the start of Thursday's trading, down to the level of 10,728 points, compared to yesterday's closing.

According to Qatar News Agency, the index was weighed down by a decline in all sectors: Insurance by 0.19%; Industrials by 0.26%; Transportation by 0.30%; Consumer Goods and Services by 0.37%; Telecoms by 0.39%; Banks and Financial Services by 0.45%; and Real Estate rose 0.77%.

By 10:00 am, 48,487 million shares were traded in 4,045 transactions valued QR 76.584 million.
