QSE Index Declines Slightly at Start of Trading

Doha: The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) declined slightly by 0.07% at the start of trading on Thursday, falling 7.93 points to 10,585, compared to the closing of the last session.

According to Qatar News Agency, QSE index witnessed a positive performance in several sectors. Insurance saw an increase of 1.95%, Telecoms improved by 0.85%, Consumer Goods and Services rose by 0.34%, Transportation experienced a rise of 0.19%, and Industrials recorded a minor increase of 0.01%.

Conversely, the performance was negative for the Banks and Financial Services sector, which declined by 0.40%, and the Real Estate sector, which saw a decrease of 0.30%.

By around 10:00 am, trading activity included 38.259 million shares being exchanged in 3,340 transactions, with a total value of QR 73.258 million.
