QSE Index Closes Lower Following Decrease in Market Capitalization

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index experienced a decline on Wednesday, falling by 72.03 points, or 0.67 percent, to settle at 10,654.65 points.

According to Qatar News Agency, the trading session witnessed a total of 166,818,535 shares being traded, amounting to a value of QR 699,216,571.020, executed through 18,702 transactions across all sectors.

The session ended with 16 companies observing a rise in their share prices, while 28 companies saw a decline, and 10 companies maintained their previous closing price.

The market capitalization at the close of trading was QR 637,592,717,494.960, showing a decrease from QR 642,697,130,756.414 recorded in the previous session.
