Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index ended Tuesday's trading session on a positive note, climbing 104.39 points, or 0.93 percent, to settle at 11,284.11 points.
According to Qatar News Agency, the trading session witnessed a high volume of activity, with 235,070,760 shares exchanged hands, amounting to a total value of QR 488,787,448.355. These transactions were conducted across 23,601 trades spanning various sectors.
The session saw a positive trend with the shares of 36 companies appreciating in value, while 12 companies experienced a decline, and 4 companies' shares remained unchanged from their previous closing prices.
The market capitalization at the close of the trading session stood at QR 670,997,095,854.350, marking an increase from the QR 664,488,558,780.015 recorded in the previous session, indicating a rise in investor confidence.
