Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index closed Tuesday's trading session on a positive note, rising by 32.80 points, or 0.30 percent, to close at 10,833.87 points. This increase reflects a positive trend in the market activity for the day.
According to Qatar News Agency, the trading session witnessed a total of 144,948,773 shares changing hands, with a total trading value of QAR 430,751,221.166. These transactions were carried out across 26,226 individual trades spanning all sectors of the market.
The session ended with 25 companies experiencing an increase in their share prices, while 20 companies saw a decline. Meanwhile, eight companies maintained the same closing price as the previous session, indicating a mixed performance across the board.
Market capitalization saw a slight increase, closing at QAR 639,473,020,859.738, compared to QAR 638,414,115,027.830 recorded in the previous session. This change in market capitalization underscores the overall growth observed during the trading day.
