Doha: The Qatar Social and Cultural Center for the Blind (QSCCB) of the Ministry of Culture convened a meeting to deliberate on the second part of the book Basa’ir as part of the reading club sessions, in collaboration with the Department of Disability Programs at the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs.
According to Qatar News Agency, the convention was attended by the center’s affiliates and individuals interested in reading and religious culture. The meeting is part of the center’s cultural and religious programs, designed to deepen knowledge and reinforce faith values.
The focus of the meeting was on the belief in divine predestination and its interpretation based on Islamic Sharia. An open discussion took place between the moderator and participants, who appreciated the sessions for bridging thought and belief, leading to a practical understanding of the Islamic creed.
The club is one of the regular programs organized by the center to disseminate culture among individuals with visual impairments. It aims to encourage reading and intellectual engagement, fostering cultural participation and enhancing religious and human knowledge within the community.
