Doha: Qatar News Agency (QNA) on Sunday held a training course on "news podcasting". The three-day course is part of the training plan pursued by the agency's Training Center for 2026.
According to Qatar News Agency, the course was delivered by Fawzy Ghabara, a media specialist and researcher at QNA. It is intended to familiarize participants with the art of news podcasts, their various types, as well as their tools and modern production techniques. The course aims to develop participants' skills in preparing and presenting news audio content and help them leverage podcast technologies effectively in media work, ultimately contributing to the generation of attractive and professional content.
The course is boiled down to a raft of training themes, foremost among which is identifying the concept of podcasts, their types and technical formats, as well as clarifying the disparities between podcasting, broadcasting, and vodcasting. In addition, the course offers training on podcast writing in terms of language and style, alongside the content of news stories and the mechanisms for conducting relevant interviews.
Overall, the course focuses on the skills of administering conversations, conducting interviews, and showcasing the most salient Arabic and global podcast programs and platforms. This course is part of QNA's efforts, represented by its Training Center, to advance the national media workforce and keep pace with the rapid advancements across various media domains, thereby enhancing media content and production.
