Chongqing: Qatar News Agency (QNA) has participated in the 7th China-Arab States Broadcasting and Television Cooperation Forum, held in Chongqing, China. The forum, themed "Dialogue Between Chinese and Arab Civilizations: Mutual Learning in Audio-Visual Media Innovation," will continue until Thursday.
According to Qatar News Agency, Noura Al Hajri, Director of Foreign Media Affairs at QNA, represents the agency at the forum. The event was opened by Cao Shumin, Deputy Head of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Head of the National Radio and Television Administration. Shumin highlighted the importance of strengthening media collaboration between China and Arab countries, focusing on sharing expertise in innovation and advanced technologies in audio-visual media.
In recorded remarks, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League, expressed gratitude for China's efforts in enhancing media and cultural ties with Arab nations. He praised China's increasing role in supporting civilizational dialogue between the two sides.
The forum aims to explore cooperation avenues between Arab and Chinese media institutions, as well as prospects for partnership in joint production and programmatic and technical exchange. These efforts contribute to enriching the media landscape and promoting understanding among peoples.
