Doha: Qatar News Agency (QNA) concluded a training course titled "Media Content Creation" at QNA Training Halls, as part of a series of courses and programs organized by the Agency. The initiative aims to enhance the skills of both QNA employees and national media personnel, developing their capabilities in various media and journalistic fields and providing the media landscape with young, qualified Qatari talents who are capable of keeping pace with transformations and developments in this vital sector.
According to Qatar News Agency, the three-day course was led by media expert and journalist Othman Al Mukhtar from the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies. It was attended by a group of editors from various departments and specialized sections of QNA, along with employees from relevant governmental and specialized sectors. The course focused on enhancing the skills of editors and media professionals in managing and preparing digital content to keep up with the rapid advancements in the media industry.
The program also aimed at improving participants' journalistic writing skills in a concise and engaging manner, helping attract readers and broaden the audience base, as well as refining editorial strategies according to global professional standards. The course covered various topics, including how to compete with global media outlets using algorithms, the importance of accurate information verification, and how to handle information sources in the digital media age, as well as understanding the challenges posed by artificial intelligence.
In March 2023, QNA inaugurated its Training Halls. It has since organized numerous specialized journalism and media training courses that focus on applied analytical aspects to enhance the capabilities of young Qatari media professionals, enabling them to keep up with the fast-paced developments in the media field.
