Doha: HE Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Chairperson of Qatar Museums (QM), and Isha Ambani of Reliance Industries in India have formalized a five-year strategic partnership between the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Center (NMACC) and QM. The collaboration aims to develop Museum-in-Residence educational programs in India and Qatar, focusing on playful, museum-based learning for children and equipping educators with innovative teaching tools.
According to Qatar News Agency, the partnership was inaugurated at a ceremony held at the National Museum of Qatar in Doha. Both institutions are united by a vision that emphasizes the power of education to inspire creativity and foster cross-cultural exchange. The programs will primarily target young learners, while also providing teachers and volunteers with methodologies and materials to innovate in educational settings.
HE Sheikha Al Mayassa highlighted the shared vision between QM and NMACC, emphasizing their commitment to nurturing a new generation of learners who are confident and empathetic. The collaboration, led by Isha Ambani, builds on the legacy of Qatar's Year of Culture with India, aiming to enhance the educational tools and reach of the NMACC's robust programs.
In India, NMACC will collaborate with Reliance Foundation (RF) to roll out the programs across various regions, guided by QM specialists. These experts, including those from Dadu, Children's Museum of Qatar, will provide masterclasses and mentoring. The initiative aligns with NMACC's mission to exchange global and Indian cultural insights, adapting each program to diverse educational contexts.
Isha Ambani expressed satisfaction with the collaboration, underscoring the shared belief in the transformative power of culture and education. The partnership aims to create world-class educational experiences that empower children to dream and learn with confidence.
QM and NMACC plan to further develop initiatives that foster creativity, empathy, and discovery. These will be implemented in schools and community centers, particularly in rural and underserved areas of India.
Maha Al Hajri, Acting Director of Dadu, Children's Museum of Qatar, expressed pride in launching the collaboration as part of Dadu's Museum-in-Residence program. The Light Atelier, designed for young children, will offer immersive learning opportunities that resonate with Dadu's philosophy of learning through play, promoting cultural exchanges with NMACC.
This partnership represents a significant step in QM's dedication to advancing education and cultural exchange globally, supporting Qatar National Vision 2030's goals of human and cultural development.
