QCB Issues Treasury Bills Worth QR 1.75 Billion Across Multiple Maturities

Doha: Qatar Central Bank has announced the issuance of treasury bills totaling QR 1.75 billion, with varying maturity periods of up to 364 days.

According to Qatar News Agency, the treasury bills are distributed into several terms as follows: QR 500 million for a 7-day term at an interest rate of 4.610 percent, QR 250 million for a 28-day term at an interest rate of 4.620 percent, QR 250 million for a 91-day term at an interest rate of 4.516 percent, QR 250 million for a 189-day term at an interest rate of 4.385 percent, QR 250 million for a 280-day term at an interest rate of 4.289 percent, and QR 250 million for a 364-day term at an interest rate of 4.220 percent.

The bank disclosed that the auction attracted bids totaling QR 5 billion, indicating a strong demand for these financial instruments. This issuance is part of QCB's ongoing strategy to manage liquidity in the financial system and provide investment opportunities.
