According to Qatar News Agency, the theme of the International Day of Charity for 2025 calls for global compassion and solidarity. In Qatar, philanthropy is deeply rooted in society, driven by religious teachings and cultural traditions. The nation’s strategy for charity and humanitarian efforts for 2025-2030 aligns with Qatar National Vision 2030, with a focus on empowerment and innovation in charitable work.
Ibrahim Abdullah Al Dehaimi, General Manager of the Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities, highlighted the strategy’s five pillars: legal and regulatory frameworks, institutional coordination, capacity building, smart partnerships, and financial sustainability. These pillars strengthen Qatar’s commitment to international charitable standards and enhance its global standing in philanthropy.
The regulatory authority’s oversight ensures transparency and trust, employing artificial intelligence and advanced analytics for risk detection. Qatar’s progress in the Global Philanthropy Environment Index reflects its systematic national efforts, surpassing the global average and enhancing its reputation as a humanitarian leader.
Qatar Charity, a key player in the nation’s philanthropic landscape, operates in over 70 countries, providing relief and development projects. With significant contributions in Gaza, Sudan, and Syria, Qatar Charity’s efforts reflect the nation’s strategic vision and commitment to global humanitarian causes.
Abdulaziz Haji, Director of Development Projects at Qatar Charity, emphasized the organization’s partnerships with international and local entities, including UN agencies and the Qatar Fund For Development. These collaborations ensure effective implementation of humanitarian and development projects worldwide.
