Qatar’s National Development Forum Highlights Family’s Role in Prosperity

Doha: In a series of editorials, prominent Qatari newspapers have highlighted the significance of the recent speech by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani at the opening of the 54th Ordinary Session of the Shura Council. His Highness emphasized the importance of enhancing citizens' roles and adapting to global scientific, technological, and cultural advancements.

According to Qatar News Agency, Al-Watan newspaper underscored the Amir's focus on strengthening the family unit, which is seen as crucial for individual and societal elevation.

The newspaper reported on the second edition of the National Development Forum: The Pillar of Social Development, organized by the National Planning Council. This event reinforced the role of family, society, and national identity in fostering national prosperity. HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani emphasized the necessity of constructive dialogue between the government and society, advocating for expanded community participation in shaping national priorities.

Al-Sharq newspaper noted that the forum's occurrence aligns with the noble directives to bolster the family's role in Qatar's societal renaissance. The forum, themed "Sustaining Prosperity in Qatari Society," is part of a broader initiative to enhance partnerships across public, private, and non-profit sectors, while fostering open national dialogue on the priorities of the Third National Development Strategy (2024-2030).

Meanwhile, The Peninsula newspaper focused on Qatar's global reputation as a neutral mediator. Since 2004, Qatar has facilitated peace processes, including brokering ceasefires and resolving international disputes. The recent signing of the Doha Framework for the Peace Agreement between the Government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Congo River Alliance (M23 Movement) is highlighted as a significant milestone in Qatar's ongoing efforts to promote peace and stability.
