Doha: In recent times, Qatar has intensified its diplomatic efforts to promote security and stability in the region, focusing on Libya and fostering dialogues between Arab states and Iran.

According to Qatar News Agency, Al-Raya newspaper emphasized Qatar's vested interest in Libya's security, stability, and prosperity. The editorial noted that Qatar has consistently supported the Libyan people and UN initiatives aimed at establishing peace and stability in the nation. Discussions conducted by His Excellency Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi, with the Libyan Presidential Council and the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, centered on enhancing bilateral cooperation, especially in economic and investment sectors, and addressing regional and mutual interests. The newspaper underscored the ongoing coordination between Qatar and Libya on Arab issues and efforts to maintain regional stability.

In a separate editorial, Al-Watan newspaper reported on Qatar's welcoming of the ceasefire announcement between India and Pakistan.
