Qatar’s involvement ranges from attending the 12th session of the World Urban Forum in Cairo to participating in the 40th ministerial session of COMCEC in Istanbul. Furthermore, Qatar is set to attend the Web Summit Lisbon 2024 in November and will be the guest of honor at the 27th International Book Fair of Algiers.
According to Qatar News Agency, Qatar’s commitment to international cooperation is further demonstrated by its hosting of the Common Criteria International Conference in Doha, sponsored by the National Cyber Security Agency. Additionally, Edaa is organizing the Network Forum for the Middle East, marking its first occurrence in Qatar. The Shura Council has also been active, leading the 9th Gulf coordination meeting in preparation for the upcoming APA meeting in Doha.
In the energy sector, HE Minister
of State for Energy Affairs, Eng. Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, held discussions with Korean energy leaders, emphasizing Qatar’s strategic international partnerships. Qatar Chamber is also strengthening ties with French businesses, as highlighted by Chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani.
Qatar’s commitment to sustainable development is evident through several initiatives. KAHRAMAA’s Tarsheed program has achieved substantial financial savings and carbon emission reductions. Meanwhile, Qatar’s cultural and educational endeavors continue to flourish, with the Ministry of Culture organizing seminars and Qatar Museums launching new exhibitions.
Sports and health also remain priorities, with Qatar Diabetes Association organizing an upcoming conference, and the Qatar Olympic Committee focusing on sports leadership education. The Qatar Cricket Association has re-elected HE Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al-Thani as its president, and Qatari athletes continue to excel in international competitions.
