Qatari Shooters Triumph with Gold and Bronze in Muscat Championship

Muscat: Qatari shooters won one gold and two bronze medals Wednesday on the fifth day of the Arab Pistol and Rifle Championship, currently being held in the Omani capital, Muscat. The championship features 141 male and female shooters representing 14 countries and concludes this Friday.

According to Qatar News Agency, Qatar's medals today came in the 25-meter pistol event. The women's team, consisting of Salma Almas, Duaa Rahmatullah, and Aisha Al Abdullah, clinched the gold medal.

The men's team, represented by Mohammed Abdulmohsen, Abdullah Al Obaidli, and Mohammed Al Yafai, secured the bronze medal. Additionally, Salma Almas achieved a bronze medal in the women's individual event.

With these results, Qatari shooters have now accumulated a total of 11 medals since the start of the championship: two gold, three silver, and six bronze.

The Qatari shooting team is participating in the Arab Championship with a delegation of 17 shooters, including men, women, juniors, and junior women, competing in the rifle and pistol events.

The delegation is led by the Executive Director of the Qatar Shooting and Archery Federation and Head of the Federation's Rifle and Pistol Department, Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Aji.

The championship continues tomorrow, Thursday, with the 25-meter center-fire pistol competition, featuring both individual and team events for men and women.

The Qatari shooters are aiming to maintain their successful performance in the championship, striving for more medals and podium finishes.
