Doha: The Referees Committee of the Qatar Football Association has appointed a Qatari officiating crew to manage the upcoming Al Ahrar Cup match between Qatar's Al Sadd and Morocco's Wydad AC. The match will be led by referee Mohammed Al Mizayid.
According to Qatar News Agency, the officiating team for the match includes Mohammed Al Mizayid as the main referee, Abdulmajeed Al Karbi as first assistant referee, Rashid Al Sheib as second assistant referee, and Abdulrahman Al Mulla as fourth official. The video assistant referee (VAR) duties will be handled by Hamad Al Subaie and Mohammed Al Obaidli.
The match is scheduled to take place on Sunday evening, August 10, at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium, home of Al Sadd SC.
The Al Ahrar Cup will also serve as an opportunity for Al Sadd to unveil several of their new summer signings, including Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino, Spanish midfielder Pau Prim, and Uruguayan defender Agustin Santurio.
This fixture represents an important preparatory test for Al Sadd ahead of the start of the 2025-2026 Qatari league season, where they will be aiming to defend the title they secured last season.
