Qatari Publishers Engages Youth at Back to School Festival

Doha: The Qatari Publishers and Distributors Forum, operating under the Ministry of Culture, is currently participating in the third edition of the Back to School Festival at Msheireb Galleria, which will continue until August 30.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry of Culture announced that the Forum's involvement aims to prepare students for the upcoming academic year with activities designed to foster a love of reading and learning among children. The Forum is conducting a workshop titled "The Importance of Reading" to introduce children to the benefits of books and the wealth of knowledge they provide.

Jassim Ahmed Al Buainain, Director of the Qatari Publishers and Distributors Forum, emphasized that the event aligns with the Ministry of Culture's vision to cultivate a generation that values reading. He noted that the Forum remains committed to supporting the publishing and distribution sector with full support from the Ministry, in line with the nation's vision to uphold national identity and values.

The Forum's booth at the festival includes a mini-library featuring a selection of books, showcasing notable local titles from Qatari publishing houses and underscoring their contributions to the local cultural landscape.
