Muscat: The Qatari-Omani Parliamentary Friendship Group at the Shura Council, led by HE Member of the Shura Council and Head of the Group Yousef bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, visited the Shura Council of the Sultanate of Oman to strengthen the bilateral parliamentary relationship between the two nations.
According to Qatar News Agency, during the two-day visit, the delegation engaged in several meetings with Omani parliamentarians to identify collaboration opportunities and exchange parliamentary expertise. The meetings included discussions with HE Deputy Chairman of the State Council Dr. Hilal bin Ali Al Hinai and HE Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council Saeed bin Hamad Al Saadi, focusing on reinforcing bilateral cooperation and joint coordination.
The Qatari delegation also met with the Omani-Qatari Parliamentary Friendship Group at the Shura Council, chaired by HE Salem bin Ali Al Kaabi. The meetings highlighted the importance of continued communication and coordination, aiming to reinvigorate cooperation mechanisms between the two groups to enhance joint parliamentary efforts.
During their visit, the delegation was briefed on the Omani parliamentary experience and the operational mechanisms within the Omani Shura Council. They also discussed topics of mutual interest and exchanged views on the best practices in parliamentary activities.
