Doha: Qatari newspapers unanimously denounced in their Thursday editorials the remarks made by the Prime Minister of the Israeli occupation regarding the so-called "Greater Israel" vision, particularly at a time when the region is experiencing dangerous political and security conditions. The newspapers pointed out that the Israeli occupation constantly seeks to spread chaos in the region, expand at the expense of neighboring countries, and delay the return of occupied lands to their rightful owners.
According to Qatar News Agency, newspapers called on countries around the world to stand firmly against Israel's colonial ambitions, warning that the provocations issued by the Israeli Prime Minister would only add fuel to the fire and keep the region in flames. In their editorials, newspapers highlighted Qatar's condemnation and denunciation of these inflammatory and absurd statements, stressing the need for international solidarity to confront these provocations, which are exposing the region to further violence and chaos.
For its part, Al-Raya newspaper warned that the Israeli Prime Minister revealed blatant expansionist and colonial ambitions that pave the way for the seizure of Arab lands inside occupied Palestine and neighboring Arab countries. The Israeli occupation always seeks to spread chaos in the region, expand at the expense of neighboring countries, and delay the return of occupied lands to their owners, the paper stressed. The Israeli entity expands settlements daily, taking away at what remains of the West Bank, and launched a plan to reoccupy the afflicted Gaza Strip and displace its people to neighboring countries in a new Palestinian catastrophe, which the State of Qatar rejects and denounces, Al-Raya underlined.
Concluding its editorial, Al-Raya called on the entire world to stand firmly against Israel's colonial ambitions, warning that this provocation by the head of the extremist and criminal Israeli government will only add fuel to the fire and keep the region in flames.
In turn, Al-Sharq newspaper said that as international impotence continues, the far-right government in the Israeli entity continues to escalate its provocative policies and plans, as an extension of the occupation's approach based on arrogance and fueling crises and conflicts. The Israeli Prime Minister's statements regarding the so-called "Greater Israel" vision, which calls for the annexation of parts of the territories of sovereign Arab states, came as the brutal war of genocide and forced displacement continues in the Gaza Strip, and ethnic cleansing and settler attacks continue in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
The newspaper noted that in the absence of international pressure and continued impunity, the extremist Israeli government continues to fuel crises and conflicts, and to flagrantly violate the sovereignty of states, international law, the UN Charter, and international legitimacy resolutions. The situation has reached the stage of directly threatening regional and international security and stability, and undermining the foundations of the international system based on respect for the sovereignty of states and the rights of peoples to self-determination.
Al-Sharq pointed out the statement by the State of Qatar, which expressed condemnation and denunciation of the remarks made by the Prime Minister of the Israeli occupation regarding the so-called "Greater Israel" vision, affirming that such false allegations will not detract from the legitimate rights of Arab states and peoples, and emphasized the need for international community solidarity to confront these provocations, which expose the region to further violence and chaos.
Qatar's position in rejecting such provocative statements stems from its full support for all efforts aimed at achieving a just, comprehensive and sustainable peace in the region, and consolidating security and stability regionally and internationally, the newspaper concluded.
