A delegation comprised of Qatari entrepreneurs, led by Qatar Development Bank (QDB) is participating in the activities of the Global Entrepreneurship Congress 2023, which kicked off on Tuesday in Melbourne, Australia, and lasts until Friday, under the theme “Transform Your World.” During its participation in the pavilion allocated to Gulf entrepreneurs, the delegation will hold introductory sessions on the Qatari entrepreneurship system and workshops to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the system in Qatar and the region.
The congress is seen as the largest gathering of male and female entrepreneurs around the globe, includes specialized sessions in entrepreneurship, and hosts institutions supporting the sector, policy-makers, strategic experts, researchers, and economists.
Various owners of institutions, small and medium-sized companies, and emerging companies from the GCC countries will participate in the conference in a special pavilion allocated for them. The State of Qatar will be represented in the pavilion by Cytomate, a cybersecurity company, and Karty financial services company, with support from QDB.
The participation represents the first of its kind for the GCC countries as a single economic bloc and opens the way for the Gulf entrepreneurship system toward renewed cooperative horizons.
The conference is attended by 4,000 participants, including entrepreneurs, owners of small and medium enterprises, and startup companies from 200 countries around the globe. (QNA)
