Gstaad: The Qatari beach volleyball team, featuring Cherif Younness and Ahmed Tijan, secured a victory against the Portuguese team of Joo Pedrosa and Hugo Campos, with a score of 2-1 in their opening match of the Gstaad World Tour in Switzerland. This event is part of the prestigious Elite 16 World Tour series.

According to Qatar News Agency, the match concluded with the Qatari team claiming the win after two sets, ending 21-18, 23-25, and 15-11. This victory marks a strong start for the Qatari team in the tournament.

Currently, the Qatari duo is competing in Group C of the tournament. Their next challenge will be against the Norwegian team comprising Henrik Nicolai Mol and Matthias Berntsen, scheduled for Thursday.

The group also includes the Austrian pair of Christoph Dressler and Philipp Waller, adding to the competitive lineup in Group C.
