Qatar Welcomes Roadmap to Resolve Suwayda Crisis Agreed by Syria, Jordan, and US


Doha: The State of Qatar welcomed the roadmap agreed upon by the sisterly Syrian Arab Republic, the sisterly Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the friendly United States of America to resolve the crisis in Suwayda Governorate and enhance stability in southern Syria.



According to Qatar News Agency, the State of Qatar considered it an important step that reflects the collective will to build a new future for Syria and consolidate security and peace in the region.



In a statement Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the State of Qatar’s full support for all regional and international efforts aimed at enhancing stability in Syria, including consolidating civil peace and national reconciliation, achieving accountability and justice, protecting civilians, building a state of institutions and law, and ensuring the participation of all segments of the Syrian people in shaping the country’s future.



The Ministry reiterated the State of Qatar’s position in support of Syria’s sovereignty, independence, unity, and territorial integrity, as well as the aspirations of its brotherly people for development and prosperity.
