Qatar, UNOCT Hold High Level Strategic Dialogue

The Fifth High-Level Strategic Dialogue between the State of Qatar and the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT) was held on the margins of the United Nations Third Counter-Terrorism Week (CT Week), in New York.

HE Vice-Chairman of the National Counter-Terrorism Committee, Ministry of Interior of the State of Qatar, Nasser Saeed Al Hajri, head of the delegation of the State of Qatar participating in the CT Week, took part in the dialogue which was attended by HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations in New York Sheikha Alya bint Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani, HE Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Counterterrorism and Mediation in Conflict Resolution Dr. Mutlaq bin Majed Al Qahtani along with members of the delegation.

For his part, HE Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism, Vladimir Voronkov, thanked the State of Qatar for its vital support and cooperation in all areas of the mandate of the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism.

Furthermore, The UNOCT stressed the importance of partnership with the State of Qatar, which resulted in many projects, the most important of which are the two program offices, namely the Doha-based “International Center for Behavioral Visions to Combat Terrorism,” and “Office of Parliamentary Participation”.

In the meantime, the delegation of the State of Qatar welcomed the close cooperation between the State of Qatar and the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism.
