Qatar UN Representative Hails Security Council Session Success Following Global Support

New york: HE the State of Qatar's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani, stated that the recent UN Security Council session addressing the Israeli attack on Qatar on September 9 was a success.

According to Qatar News Agency, Her Excellency outlined that all 15 member states backed Qatar's legal stance during the session. The Security Council's press statement condemned the Israeli attack and reaffirmed Qatar's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The statement highlighted that the attack targeted a nation crucial to mediation efforts. Her Excellency noted that the attack on residential areas housing the Hamas political office resulted in several casualties, including a Qatari citizen, violating international law and Qatar's sovereignty.

Her Excellency emphasized that the Council's statement praised Qatar's role in regional mediation and underscored Doha's efforts to end the conflict in Gaza and safeguard Palestinian lives.
