Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange closed sharply higher on Wednesday, with the index rising 376.67 points, or 3.66%, to reach 10,662.33 points.
According to Qatar News Agency, during the session, 352,627,351 shares were traded, valued at QAR 818,727,047, across 53,935 transactions spanning all sectors. Of the listed companies, 53 saw their shares rise, while one recorded a decline.
Market capitalization jumped to QAR 631,733,767,000 from QAR 608,205,535,000 in the previous session, reflecting renewed investor confidence.
